What Makes Rising Dove Portraits Special?

Miriam takes the time to get to know her subjects. She photographs them in
a number of different poses, and captures a variety of expressions. Her photographs are works of art in themselves.
To create a drawing or painting, Miriam works closely with her client,
selecting several photographs from which to work. In this way she can produce a more
life-like portrait that seems to breathe and move; one that reflects the personality
of the subject, rather than a static "copy" of a photograph. At several stages of
the portrait's progress, she consults the client to make sure that the finished work
will be a cooperative effort, satisfactory to both artist and client.
If the desired subject is not available for a sitting, Miriam can work
effectively from photographs coupled with descriptions from people who know (or knew)
the subject well.
