After careful study, I determined that this is a female River Jewelwing Damselfly (calopteryx aequabili); however an expert volunteer informed me that she is an Ebony Jewelwing Damselfly (calopteryx maculate). Fortunately, I had not gotten more specific than Jewelwing Damselfly in my title. You be the judge.   Location: North Fork of the Shenandoah, Mt. Jackson
